Tish Banks became a Youth Mental Health First Aider

The National Council for Mental Wellbeing certifies Lethichia (Tish) Banks as a Youth Mental Health First Aider today. After successfully completing a two-hour online course and 6+ hours of training with facilitators, Tish is qualified to provide initial help to a young person experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge.

As a Family Ambassador for Columbus City Schools, a Parent Leader for the Central Ohio Parent Leadership Training Institute, and a family member to youth, Tish believes this resource imparted greater empathy and sensitivity to crisis situations. She believe all parents / legal guardians should be required to complete Youth Mental Health First Aid training.

Thank you to Columbus City School for this professional development opportunities.
